This project was from another service learning project at Westminster College. My team and I researched and analyzed the business Movement Training Day, along with its competitors, to provide the information our client needed to make informed marketing decisions to grow their business. This project taught me how to understand a company from the inside out and learn what their brand values are, and how to use those values to effectively communicate those to potential customers.
During my time working for the school news organization, The Forum, I was able to hone my skills for interviewing and communicating stories with a large audience. The medium I found I could best express a narrative and conduct an informative interview was through podcasts. I recorded two podcasts for The Forum, and along with the podcast, I would provide a written story to provide context for the audio.
For a service-learning project, our team was tasked to help Utah Discount Windows & Patio Doors with a brand refresh involving a new logo design, website prototype, business card, and flyer. To do this our team used rigorous user testing to get feedback for our deliverables and end up with a final product we were proud of.
